EXPLORE THE
BLYDE RIVER CANYON

The Blyde River Canyon is the largest green canyon in the world and ranks as the third largest canyon globally. Carved deep into the Mpumalanga escarpment, it stretches over 25 kilometres with cliffs rising sharply above the river below. Unlike many canyons that are dry and rocky, the Blyde Canyon is rich with vegetation and flowing water, creating a unique and vibrant landscape. This remarkable combination of dramatic geology, thriving ecosystems, and cultural heritage offers visitors spectacular views, waterfalls, and a range of outdoor activities. The canyon is one of South Africa’s most impressive natural wonders.
